In the South Plains area, a new program has launched at several local Farmers Markets.  It is called ‘Double Up Food Bucks’.   The Double Up Food Bucks is a program tailored to help those in the SNAP program buy locally grown fruits and vegetables at their local Farmers Markets.

Here is what the program consists of…buy fresh fruits and vegetables with your Lone Star Card and get FREE Double Up Food Bucks to spend on more fresh fruits and vegetables at participating sites across the Panhandle and South Plains.  That’s it!  You get up to $20 free a day when you spend $20 on fruits and vegetables!
